About the Author
John Lewis, Ed.D. has a doctoral degree from the University of Southern California in educational psychology, with a dissertation focus on mental models and problem-solving. Combined with over 25 years of experience in knowledge management and performance improvement, the author addresses the core issues facing today’s organizations. He coined the phrase “what gets modeled gets measured” to accompany the popular phrase “what gets measured gets done,” to place our focus on the “model level” of our successes and failures. Here the author shares his experience in using better models to address organizational learning, inventiveness, productivity, and transparency in decision making.
